Hi, I'm Chris Musser

Accounting for Clarity grew out of a simple observation: most small organizations don't lack effort. They suffer from a lack of usable information.

The people I enjoy working with are usually builders, makers, growers, cooks, educators, advocates, and problem-solvers.  The work matters to them, but the systems behind the work often evolve one spreadsheet, notebook, receipt, and workaround at a time.

That's where I come in. I help transform scattered information into practical systems that support day-to-day operations and long-term planning. Sometimes that means cleaning up bookkeeping. Sometimes it's inventory tracking, grant reporting, workflow documentation, production planning, ecommerce systems, or custom business applications built around how an organization actually works.

My background includes nonprofit finance, construction accounting, business operations, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, process documentation, and spreadsheet automation. Over the years I've worked with organizations ranging from neighborhood nonprofits to contractors, food businesses, growers, and community-focused enterprises.

My work sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and information management. Whether the challenge is bookkeeping, inventory, production planning, grant reporting, ecommerce, or business processes, I help turn scattered information into systems people can actually use.
